Laptop Ownership Program (Grade 7 to 12)

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a follow up to the December Secondary Laptop Program letter, I am pleased to announce that we have completed our selection process. After much negotiation with several PC vendors, the School has chosen Helix to provide a range of Lenovo laptops for our mandatory Secondary Laptop Ownership Program. Helix runs laptop ownership programs in seven of the eight Hong Kong universities. Lenovo has been the number one notebook provider in Hong Kong for thirteen consecutive years. Beginning September 2012, students in Grades 7 – 12 must bring in one of the five selected Lenovo models.
In addition to a significantly discounted purchase price, we have successfully negotiated a comprehensive bundle of options that include a payment plan, a three-year warranty, accidental damage coverage, and discounted price for software and accessories.
Parents are not required to purchase from Helix; however, in purchasing through Helix, parents will receive, in addition to the bundle of options, on-campus warranty, technical support, and accidental damage coverage with no deductible and a School-owned laptop loan unit during the repair period.

· March 05 – 09, 2012 Helix Road Show of Lenovo Laptops in the DSC Auditorium
· August 01, 2012 Deadline for Ordering for all Returning DSC Students
