Welcome Message

The year has gotten off to an excellent start. Students and staff showed perseverance by adjusting to online learning efficiently and successfully. Students have embraced their dedication to community building by participating in their first House Program and electing Grade 5 and Grade 6 student council representatives. After getting to know their peers and teachers online, the majority of our students joined us on campus to continue learning and building community. With the classrooms and hallways filled with laughter, and action, it became clear that the school year would continue to be a great one. We would like to encourage our students to continue being kind, curious, safe, creative and resilient as we move through this school year together. As we come to the end of September, teachers will name one Student of the Month from each grade to students who have shown exemplary qualities over the course of the month.

As we move forward into October, assessments will be taking place in classes and teachers will be preparing Progress Report Cards to inform our students and their guardians of their progress so far and discuss ways to move forward successfully. During the month of October, Delia School of Canada will also recognise and celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week and Multicultural week and through a series of conversations, shared information and activities. We look forward to another successful month ahead.
